Please help us build the library collection!

Books in the PNS library get read for years. Our copy of Angus and the Ducks, for example, was published in 1930. You can help us expand and update the collection in two ways: by donating a copy of your child's favorite book and/or by donating a book from the school wish list. You can be sure that the book(s) you donate will be enjoyed by generations of children!

The wish list is currently registered on Amazon, so anyone who is interested in giving a book can be directed there. Grandparents often ask what they can give--here's an easy answer. If you would like to purchase a book at a local book shop, that's great, but please send an email to librarian@parentsnurseryschool.net so the librarian can take it off the list.

We hope to create a tradition of having each new student donate a favorite book early in the year not only to build the library, but also to get to know what particularly interests each child.

We do have a few caveats to ensure that donations support PNS's philosophy. Please make sure that any book you give is non-violent, inclusive, and age-appropriate - neither too "baby" nor overly sophisticated. Please also avoid product-placement books (e.g., M&M Counting Book, Wonderful Tonka Trucks, etc.) and movie and TV tie-ins (including Disney, Sesame Street, Berenstain Bears).

Last, hardcover books are more durable than paperbacks, so if there's a choice between them, please opt for hardcover.
